Keshco
Today
What can you expect from these Keshcologists?
Keshco is the name of a quirky
trio of young men who play synthpop, folk, psychedelia... whatever they
feel like. All three write, perform and are adept at multiple
instruments. It's all recorded and released from
home.
The
songs veer schizophrenically between styles, with unifying themes
including unsparingly honest self-deprecation, left-wing
social/political outlook, love of the nervous outsider, all offset (or
heightened) by whimsy and surrealism.
On
stage, you're likely to see Andy singing with his guitar or noodling on
a synth, Luke swapping between his guitar, flute or another synth, and
Robert behind the drums or another synth and also singing. Many
absurd,
comedic or theatrical moments may crop up in the set.
Keshcologists like hugs, trees and cups of tea.
Keshco are more likely to do an online concert from home these
days, and they release an EP every few months, also available through
netlabels like 23 Seconds (Sweden), WM Recordings (Netherlands), 4-4-2
Music (Australia) and Silent Flow (Moldova). There's also
comedy films, and their own zine, "Beware!".
